All About Elizanne Warren

Born in the beautiful twin-island nation of Trinidad & Tobago, Elizanne Warren-Russell is a scholar-practitioner, educator, author, and ordained minister whose life and work testify to perseverance, faith, and purpose. A single mother of two sons, she migrated to the United States in 1991 determined to build a better life for her family; along the way, God ordered her steps, leading her to her husband of thirty-three years and adding a beautiful daughter to their family.

As God unfolded her professional calling, Elizanne advanced through her academic journey, earning her associate’s degree in liberal arts and bachelor’s degree in Community & Human Services, then completing her master’s in criminal justice in August 2020, at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, while working remotely and taking three classes. That season of intense discipline and faith opened new doors: she became an Adjunct Professor of Criminal Justice, a credentialed Reverend at her local church, and a Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) in April 2023.

Today, Elizanne serves as an Adjunct Professor of Criminal Justice at Farmingdale State College and continues to advance her scholarship through an MPhil in Information Studies (2026) and doctoral work in Information Science. Her academic interests sit at the intersection of criminal justice, technology, and information, with focus areas that include technology-facilitated domestic violence, law enforcement–community relations, and human–computer interaction. She is the author of a self-published textbook, “Introduction to Criminal Justice in a Technological Age” (2026), equipping students and professionals to navigate a rapidly changing justice landscape with wisdom, integrity, and technological insight.

A seasoned professional speaker and Distinguished Toastmaster, Elizanne delivers keynotes, workshops, and trainings on criminal justice reform, ethical uses of technology, information and power, and spiritually grounded leadership for both secular and faith-based audiences. Her presentations are known for being intellectually rich yet highly accessible, weaving research, Scripture, and lived experience into practical strategies that inspire action and meaningful change.

Throughout her life, Elizanne has been recognized as a compassionate listener and an unwavering supporter of others’ dreams. She is a tireless cheerleader for women’s success, single mothers and their children, teen girls, and all women seeking encouragement and guidance on their educational, professional, and spiritual journeys. Whether speaking in a sanctuary, a classroom, or a conference hall, her mission is to bring the power of knowledge and information to her audience so they can heal, grow, and lead with courage.
